Forward Deployed Engineer
You own customer outcomes end-to-end. You embed with a customer’s team, learn their codebase and conventions, and drive our agents to ship what they need, into their cloud, on their cadence. You steer; the agents execute. You’re accountable for the outcome going live, not for typing every line.
What you’ll do
- Own a portfolio of customer outcomes, from intake to live in production.
- Embed with a customer's team: learn their repos, conventions, and release process.
- Drive our agents to plan, implement, verify, and deploy across their repos.
- Review what the agents produce, hold the quality bar, and unblock them when they get stuck.
- Stand up and operate their environments, approval gates, and pipelines.
- Turn recurring work into playbooks so the next outcome ships faster.
- Be the customer's technical point of contact: clear updates, honest tradeoffs.
What you’ll bring
- ~2–5 years shipping production software, or equivalent. We hire on evidence, not years.
- You already live in AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and friends). Daily, not occasionally.
- Polyglot and pragmatic: you pick up new stacks fast and care about both craft and shipping.
- Comfortable owning a customer relationship: clear writing, calm under pressure, honest about tradeoffs.
- Fluent with Git, terminals, and Docker, and at home in at least one cloud (AWS a plus).
This role is for you if
- You'd rather own an outcome than a ticket.
- You're energized by orchestrating agents to do 10× what you could by hand.
- You like being close to the customer and the business reason behind the work.
- You want real ownership and ground-floor impact at a founder-led company.
It’s not for you if
- You want a narrow, spec-driven IC track with no customer contact.
- You haven't made AI agents part of how you actually work.
- You need heavy process and detailed handoffs to move.
- You'd rather go deep on a single stack than range across many.
