# Previews --- ## Active previews The **Previews** page lists each Task's live previews, with the columns **Task**, **Services** and **Expires in**. Each service shows its type — "Web Service", "Private Service" or "Static Site" — and its link. Until it has a link, it shows "Provisioning…". A preview database is shown as "Internal only — not reachable from the internet", followed by its private address. Backend services show "Removed in <h>h <m>m", or "Being removed". With no previews, the page shows "No active previews". ## Preview configuration A line above the list says how previews are built: - "Previews are built with your preview configuration (<n> variables, <m> secret files)", with **Edit in Settings** - "No preview configuration is set, so previews are built without environment variables", with **Add them in Settings**, when none is set ## Removal A Task's previews are removed once all its pull requests are merged or closed, about 72 hours after its last preview deploy, or when the Task is deleted — whichever comes first. Backend services — APIs and their preview databases — are removed sooner, about 4 hours after the Task's last preview deploy. For how previews are built, see [Tasks → Previews](/docs/tasks/previews/). --- Source: https://deployment.io/docs/resources/previews/
